Grace came to the rescue In June 2017 from Fort Yukon, a remote Alaskan village. Grace was infected with Parvo and required urgent medical care but she recovered with no residual problems and was adopted. Her remaining 5 littermates were brought to the rescue soon after and are all doing well now.

Grace was dehydrated but after discussion it was felt she would do best at the rescue as she would have more attention and better care using both western medicine and holistic care. Grace received subcutaneous fluids every 3 hours until she was able to drink pedialyte water on her own, which took about 2 days.
Grace at the vet June 3, 2017. She arrived in Fairbanks on Saturday afternoon and was immediately taken to the after hours clinic for medical care.

Part of the holistic care Grace was given included using doTERRA organo oil, which kills the parvo virus. Oregano is one of the most potent and powerful essential oils and has been used for centuries in traditional health practices for its cleansing and immune-boosting properties. Oregano ingredients are carvacrol and thymol which possess cleansing and antioxidant properties. Oregano also supports healthy digestion and can help support healthy respiratory function when taken internally.

We also defused OnGuard Ingredients Wild Orange Peel, Clove Bud, Cinnamon Bark/Leaf, Eucalyptus Leaf, and Rosemary Leaf/Flower essential oils which provides a natural and effective alternative for immune support. It can be taken internally to maintain healthy immune function and support healthy cardiovascular function and it can also be used on surfaces throughout the home as a non-toxic cleaner. When diffused, doTERRA On Guard helps purify the air, and can be very energizing and uplifting.
