Ramiel came to the rescue as a five week old puppy who had suffered a fractured elbow due to an accident in the home while the owners were away. He has undergone two surgeries to date to treat the problem and was recently diagnosed with a congenital kidney problem..

A few months after his intial surgery for the fracture, Ramiel unfortunately developed a benign calcification in his elbow that required another surgery to prevent pain and loss of joint motion.
