Emmy came to the rescue in April 2013. She was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy (dilated heart) with evidence of heart failure and given 6 to 12 months to live. She had never even played with toys before she came to us and this diagnosis came as a cruel blow. We were determined to give her the best life possible through a good diet, medication and plenty of love and companionship. Emmy loved to be naughty and body-slam the boys, but was a loving and protective mother to baby Ramiel. 28 months after coming to the rescue, Emmy passed away on August 10, 2015. She outlived everyone's expections, proving that love is the best medicine of all.
Run wild and free, Emmy, until we see you again at the Rainbow Bridge. Thank you for sharing your life with us and teaching us to live every day to its fullest!
